- 1960 Massey Ferguson 35 (Perkins), 1995 TAFE 35DI, 1980 Bolens G174, 2005 Kubota B7510, 2020 Kioti Mechron 2200ps UTV Troy-Bilt Horse 2 1988 Case IH 255 4WD with loader and cab
I went into the local Kioti dealer for an air filter for my Bolens G174 and saw this diesel UTV outside. We discussed price and my 2004 Ranger TM as trade in, and that was that.
I like the machine, though I am a bit bothered by gear noise on the road at middle speeds. Is it normal to get intermittent gear noises from the diffs while travelling at 20 miles per hour? Do the whines go away with break-in? It has five hours on it so far. If the gear noise is normal, I'm O.K. with that.
Another one: They put the steering wheel on about 20 degrees to the left of dead centre. I talked to the tech and think that a couple of guys just made a mistake on the placement of the wheel when they put the machine together at the dealership. So removing the wheel and replacing it should do the job. How do I remove that Kioti emblem to get at the nut I assume lies beneath? It looks to me as though I could pry the centre plastic part away from the outer ring, also plastic, with the tools I would use to take a laptop apart.
Thanks,
