memento,

Nice car. Yes, the tunnels on Kelly Stataion Road and Depot Road are both old friends. Many cold winter nights I cautiously passed through one or the other to visit my wife-to-be on the farm. Perhaps successfully navigating the snow and ice on the back roads of rural Upstate New York served as a measure of my character for my in-laws?

Looks like we chose nearly the same scenic overlook site on Vroman's Nose to take our panoramic shots of Scoharie Valley.

BTW, I have no tractors :)(), not even a riding lawn mower. But, my father-in-law has five--the oldest, and his favorite, is the Ford in the picture with the wood.

amazingly small world out there! I suppose I could expect a better chance that "tractor people" would know of Duanesburg.

I know Scotch Ridge, and having a 100 acre farm I think I probably know that, too! Vroman's Nose is one of my favorite places. Looking at your daughter makes me nautious though, especially seeing the crack in the rock she appears to be standing on!

Here's my Crossfire at the tunnel at the bottom of Kelly Station Rd. You might know that spot.

I wonder where you're stading for your panorama...

I always approch the tunnel real slow. It's hard to know if anything is coming with the curve on one side.

Bag the VW for a hemi? not on your life. :) Of the American car manufacturers, I like Dodge a lot, but I love my German cars the best. The Crossfire is really a better looking Mercedes SLK320, I have the 2 VWs and a BMW. just not a muscle car guy (of any kind).

approach slow AND honk.

I've looked at the Crossfires, and yeah they are really a Mercedes under the skin. I was into the late 60's and early 70's Mopars at one time. They just take so much work to maintain and I got burned out on the show car scene. If I got a Crossfire, I'd have to find a turbo. I'll probably end up with a newer Challenger some day, with a Hemi of course. I love the color of your Crossfire, very sharp.

thanks. The Crossfires also came supercharged. I found mine last year with only 5200 miles on it. 2005. They were WAY overpriced new, like close to $40k for the base, and being a previous gen Mercedes got a bad rap for it. Still, they sold 76,000 or so.
