Tractor
Yanmar 424
Hey all,

Years ago when I built my home I bought a used Yanmar (gray market) tractor and used it all summer to do my yard. I sold it for more than I paid and it was one of the saddest days of my life (I am only slightly exaggerating). So the time is right to get another and this one to keep for good.

As I am temporary out of work for a few more weeks I thought I would try and do some initial mods to make this amazing tractor even better. Here are a few questions for you current owners. I tried posting links but the system won稚 let me because I am new to the forum.

1. Do any of you have the yanmar quick attach pallet forks? Model number PFQ100

Is it better to go aftermarket?

2. Is the Yanmar 3point quick hitch a good idea? Model TQH1

3. I am thinking about building a carryall for general yard use and for an easy ballast when the backhoe is removed. Is the carry all from from TSC a good starting point? Any idea if it fits the quick hitch above? It is the Countryline carryall from tractor supply company.

Thank you! I can稚 sleep I am so excited!

:welcome: to TBN...enjoy.
If you got tools and time build your own custom carryall.

Great tractor! Congratulations. When are you going to get it? Quick hitches come in handy if you are frequently changing implements. To change them occasionally, it might not be worth the cost.

It was supposed to get delivered today but they called and said their mechanic was too busy to get it prepped properly. Looks like Thursday now. I spent the last two days building a carryall.

Well? Do you have your tractor?

We need pictures !

It's here! I've been using it everyday since it came. We have planted 8 trees, moved 5 tons of rock, hauled lots of wood, etc. let me see if I can post a picture.

I don't see an option. Maybe I'm too new here.

I think you need a minimum of 5 posts, might be 10, before you can post pics...

I'll try and get that post count up so I can show some pics. It's a great tractor!
