Russ, Welcome aboard a great forum. I live right up the road from you. Just take Crescent Valley RD north, it turns into Olalla Valley RD. I am a mile past the school just after the S curve at the ball park. Second driveway on the right. I have 20+ AC of forest and it is a lot steeper than yours looks. My BX 25 is a real workhorse. I have over 1500 hrs in 4 years o0n it and no real problems except for what I break. Stop by problem less than 10 minutes from you. Dragoneggs keeps saying he is going to come out but haven't seen him yet. Maybe we can get a coffee klatch going, or beer and brats this summer. Ron
Yeah sorry Ron. You are right. I'm in China now and have been in Asia on extended business trip since Feb 21! Ready to come home. April 1st is the date... Really! I promise I will take you up on the offer.

Hi Ron,

Thanks and look forward to seeing your property sometime, I figured you were fairly close to me. I am about 1/4Mi south of 160th on 14th ave next to the property owned by the gas company

I was reading my GEOTECH report in a lot more detail last night (fun reading).

It says my "moderately" steep area is ~25-35% and about 200ft long
The very steep section is 55-75% for another 220ft
and all terminates at a 2-4 foot near vertical scoure zone at the bottom.
I know this as my wife and I hiked down to the water and it was an effort :)

My goal is to build a path down to my beach. I figure the first portion, I might be able to do with the assistance of a tractor, if not then get a CAT or something. The more vertical section, will probably be a lot of manual labor.

hi ultrarunner... You may not get to Olympia much, but having Salzburg listed as one of your location.. one of the most beautiful cities I have been to (and I have been to many) :)

All of you love your BX, I have no doubt I would love it too, but its the PTO HP that has me worried

Yes... PTO is hp is limited.

Several here have the Wallenstein chipper with good results.

Rent a tow behind chipper for storm clean up in Olympia... helps have a few friends and makes the work more enjoyable.

Salzburg... I'm just a couple of minutes out of town towards the Lake District... near the Gaisberg.

Been away too long from there too... work in California has been a real roller coaster... for 4 years the Hospital where I work had been for sale...
