BX23
Hello to all. I have spent a lot of time reading everything on this forum about the BX23. After much research and your very informative discussions, my New BX23 will be delivered on Wednesday. My wife and I have 14.5 acres to maintain now and the Wheel Horse just won't do what I want. There are lots of ditches to dig and maintain along with 3 acres of grass and plenty of landscaping to do. I really look forward to getting the new baby to work. Thanks to all of you. I'll keep you posted.

Congratulations on the purchase. Don't forget to post pictures when it arrives. Also, before you forget, have the dealer send along a spare set of fuel, oil, and hydro filters. You never know when you are going to need them, and it is best to have them in stock for when you do. Also have the representative show you how to remove and install the backhoe, and then do it yourself while he/she is there. It is easy once you have done it a couple of times, but the first time can be scary if you don't have guidance. I know from experience. Also have him send you a spray can of Kubota Grey and Orange paint for touch up. For my final thought, don't forget to lower the ROPS before entering the garage, and let us know how many times you forgot and hit the door opening. I don't believe that there is a BX22 or BX23 owner here that hasn't done it at least once, if not more times than they want to admit. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ah, the proud Papa of a new bouncing baby BX23!!!
Congratulations! I've had my BX23 for 3 months now and have enjoyed it immensly. You will find it has all the power you need and more.
Listen to Junkman, he knows what he is talking about. All that stuff he mentioned to get...GET IT! You will need a toothbar too! Nifty addition to the FEL, and you can tear up stuff too!
Oh yeah, watch out for the ROP's, be sure and fold it down. It doesn't fit too well in a 7' tall garage door when it is up! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Bent the top frame... Been there, done that! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Also, watch for the FEL bucket, especially when you back out and turn too sharp....yeah, bent the track for the garage door too! But, it still closes, with a little help! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
But the BX 23 didn't get a scratch, just left Kubota Orange where it hit!
Enjoy it and post pictures of your adventures!

Welcome to the BX club it is a fantastic tractor for sure.

Now for some extra things to consider.

Tach by tinytach http://www.tinytach.com

Tooth bar if you plan to do a lot of digging. The tooth bar bolts onto the bucket and makes a big difference in digging.

Bar Tires vs. turf tires, I have both, for digging and snowblowing. I paid $275 for the 4 bar tires and rims

Block heater IF it will be stored in an unheated area.

Storage wheels for the deck. Allows you to store the deck upright also to do maintenance
http://www.moweraxle.com/pages/1/index.htm best $$$ you will spend

Fill the rear tires with liquid ballast, i.e. windshield washer fluid, etc.

Wheels spinner knob is a must

Enjoy! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hope that you already have the manuals. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I also hope that you have your Wednesday free of all else and for that matter have the rest of the week free. Have fun and don't forget to not let them see you smile! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just spent the entire weekend on mine, and it was like a vacation. Did about 10 jobs at once. Couple words of advice... After using the FEL all weekend, don't try and play golf! You get something that I'm going to call "FEL joystick shoulder", similar to "tennis elbow", and it ruins your game completely! Second, read the entire manual first, as there are a number of little tidbits that are easily overlooked, such as the suggestion to not run the tractor at high throttle for the first 50 hours, something that I'm having serious trouble with. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Enjoy,
Hen

Welcome, Good luck and you'll love it!!!!
I can confirm that if you don't fold down the ROPS it will hit the top of the entrance way to the garage!!!!
You'll love this forum and it's orange members, I've found it very useful.
BX23 = FUN,FUN,FUN !!!!!!!!
