I dunno about this "goin either way" thing. Oh, you mean yankee/southern gentleman; I get it now. When I talk to folks up north they ask me where in the south I'm from; when I go south they ask where up north I'm from. There's just no winnin' when you're in the middle. I guess I could fit in wherever I happen to be.
And to mddorange: sub tender USS Sperry; early '70s. Another life in another lifetime; I just barely remember it. Nearly all of my father/brother/uncles/cousins did military service. Some "short term" and some career. So I just did what I thought I was supposed to do. I spent 33 years working at the local VA hospital, though, and eventually got to feeling jealous of the accomplishments that many of those guys performed. All I did in the navy was keep my mouth shut and stay out of trouble. Many of the guys that were patients there did things that movies and books get written about. Thanx and gratitude go to them and to all of you that served.
Well, that's enough (or waaay too much) about me.
I have a JD LX178 to mow with and pull a small 2-wheeled wagon around. My neighbor and I are contemplating going halves on a "real" tractor to maintain our shared gravel driveway. I've been searching the forums and finding quite a bit of good advice along those lines. Don't be surprised if you see posts in other forums asking for more advice about that.
