Has anyone seen the new DX33 with the heavy duty front end?
Actually I created it in Photo Suite. Stock tires compress a lot even with 35-40 psi. Sidewall on tires show 50psi max, but I think the tires would wear too fast. 100 hrs. on meter since April 2004.
The only major problem I've had with this tractor is the oil cooler hose blew out.(Replaced under warranty) Lost 5 gal. of fluid when it went. The lever to raise and lower 3-ph was very stiff. I loosened the castle nut on the lever a little bit. Works great now. I would like to see more pics of your red tractors. Great Forum!

Here is the original pic. Should have posted a reply to my own post for 2nd pic. That way you would see pics in right order.

Word has it here on TBN that you can (and probably should) add another 5 lbs over the max rated inflation to bias ply tires. When I run the rated 22 psi on my fronts, they compact quite a bit, but they hold up much, much better when I run them at 26-27 psi. Bias ply sidewalls are much weaker than radial sidewalls. With bias ply tires, under inflation can be more dangerous than a few pounds over inflation, as you could roll the tire right out from under the rim and blow the tire - not fun with a full FEL load. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't think you'd have too much wear issues running them at 50-55 psi, unless all of your work happens on pavement, and even then, at the speeds you're probably driving your tractor at, it still may not be as much an issue.

BTW, that's a nice looking machine.

Thanks for the info Bandit67. I'll try 50 psi and see how that works.
I have to be carefull in the summer since it can get to 115 degrees here. Small tires can gain about 5 psi. or more during the midday sun. I like your pics, nice tractor! What kind of camera did you use?

If I recall correctly, it's a Canon G5 - it's a few years old now, so they may have a different model number by now.
