Yeh, I miss it, at the time jobs were hard to come by so my wife decided to move us up here, I wanted Alaska I did a lot of fishin on that river, whenever I could get a chance, caught some beautifull catfish. We were down that way a few years back and took a detour to see our old place. LeitchField had really grown from what it was.

I never fished the river, however in the early sixties, I caught a lot of Crappie and Bass. If the fish were not bighting, we would water ski until we got tired. Had to be careful skiing, the lake had just been built and snakes were all over the surface water, I had to dodge to miss many of them and I was careful were I let go of the rope. Ken Sweet
