Howdy folk's,
So i just found this site seems to be a great find so far...To start My name is Cody i live in Hart county KY I'm 25 and work full time at a water treatment plant. So a little history about myself/Family I'm trying to get back into farming "My family farmed for 5 generation's but, after my grandfather got alzheimer's and my father had a Stroke, heart attack, back and knee surgery. We were forced to sell our equipment and move on. Now that my grandfather has passed and my dad is some what better I wanna begin farming again. I was able to buy the farm house my family had lived in/Rented for over 60+ year's. So my grandmother could remain in her home and to keep it in the family. I'm also serching for a 40+ acre farm close to the house to Raise some Cattle and Sheep and raise some hay. Maybe expand after i get some more stuff lined out and payed off. I help my neghibors farm in my time off from feeding cow's, Bush hogging, all the steps in rasing hay from cutting to hauling, and so on. I've picked up a 3pt Sprayer, JD Manure Spreader, and a Ford 101 3 btm 14" plow for now. I'm in the market for either a Farmall 560-Ford 4000 Diesel and either a Ford 8000-9600 to a IH 966-1466. I hope to be able to rely on this site for any help thanks for reading and Talk to ya'll later!!

To TBN Cody. Great what you have done so far and that you want to get back into farming. Do you have any help in your project or just doing it by yourself? I know some brothers here who are doing the same thing, trying to get back the farm their granddad once had. They have reacquired about half of the land back and have started building the farm backup. Good luck on your desires and keep us informed on your progress. There is a vast amount of knowledge here on just about every subject, so take advantage of it at any time.

Welcome to TBN, Cody.
For a young guy, you've accomplished a lot.
Sounds like you know what you're doing and have a plan to get it done.
I look forward to reading about your progress!

Hey Cody, Good luck with those plans of bringing back the farm! I have family in Hart Co. and knew I had heard of Canmer before. Have some farm relations down your way. Kessinger and that road that goes out by the old fairgrounds and new jail. Just found it interesting to see a local on here. Nice to meet ya!
