Longtime lurker, finally decided to make an account. We just bought 30 acres which is mostly forestland and I'm currently working on buying a tractor and all the associated implements to maintain the property.

Welcome to TBN. I'm envious of thirty forested acres, having just sagebrush myself.

Hey Skagit, :welcome:from the Hood Canal area. Spent lots of time on Lake McMurray as a kid at our cabin my dad built.

Right on, I live in Conway so I know exactly where that is.

And I know Conway... well I used to! Is the Pub still there where you could indulge in oysters any which way?

Looking forward to seeing your efforts on your property. Please post pics of your progress. We will give you all the advice you don't need. :D

Skagit, welcome aboard, take Dragon with a grain of salt, we sometimes give out good advice that you really do need and can use. Been through area a few times, I remember that pub also. My daughter and her husband have a cabin on the Skagit out near Concrete, go up there often. They can fish off their deck, almost.

Welcome to the forum neighbor. Thirty acres forested means that you are most likely a few miles upriver from me. It's a beautiful valley, enjoy.

Welcome to TBN, Skagit. Only 5 wooded acres here, but very enjoyable peace and quiet.

I have 20 acres of trees and 10 acres of pasture. Believe me your going to be working on those trees for the rest of your life and half of your afterlife......

Hello from N. Idaho.

I just spent another 4 hours chipping trees and hauled a dump trailer of crappy non burnable wood to the landfill. Did same. Thing yesterday....will do same thing tomorrow....

I started this 1-1/2 months ago. My 3 point wood chipper is getting a real workout.

Hello from Yelm, your just up the road from my sisters farm in Laconner. We were originally from 8 acres of woods on Chuckanut Mountain south of Bellingham.

I used to haul gravel from the Granite Construction gravel pit that's about 2 miles above the school to Anacortes, one year for the rail terminal and another year for a parking lot on the east side of March Point. We often would take Best Rd and across Fir Island for a change in scenery when returning to the pit. Worked on rebuilding the dike on Fir Island a few years ago too.

Bought the tractor we've been borrowing the last few months, the cat seems to think it's his though. IMG_20210115_131826.jpegIMG_20210115_132003.jpeg
