Hi, My B7500 is an HST. Front Loader, 5' blade, carry-all, Goosen Chipper/Shredder. 3 1/5 acres, very steep. Tractor primarily for hauling, timber felling and winching, grading roads and terraces, and plowing snow for neighborhood along 1.5 mile drive.
I'm far enough away from the dealer to make self-maintenance the only real option. Found routine stuff easy; but, more than once I'e been fooled by the starting routine with all it's safety switches, clutch adjustments. Jumpered the seat safety switch. Seemed redundant. Occasionally, won't start; raise hood, poke around, close it. She starts.

Two questions: The exhaust location really makes cleanliness impossible. Can I put an extension on it to redirect somewhere? Is there an easy way to clean the deposits?

I don't know of any really good way to clean the deposits. I use diesel fuel, a rag, and then soap.
But I have extended the exhaust on several small tractors by rotating the muffler so that the outlet was vertical and then adding several feet vertically (along with a rain cap) so as to get the exhaust up away from the tractor. Vertical section should be slightly larger diameter (slip fit) and light weight tubing. Sometimes electrical conduit is perfect.
