I just have to say, this is an awesome place for information on the tractor industry! All of you guys are absolutely wonderful & I honestly value every opinion on here. The LS info on here is great as I was least familiar w/that brand. I am excited to start sitting on the models interested in to see which functions the best for me.

I thought the warranties were comparable - Kubota (7 yrs), Kioti (6 yrs). I have checked featues, but have not really looked into the warranty specifics yet. I'd like to know what others think. Both dealerships are about 60 kms away from me, I'm leaning towards Kubota based on features and ease of use - my physical disability being a consideration. Family members sell Kioti - uggh

Tough decisions.

@scaredychicken - I ended up going with a used Kioti DK40SE. When I got on the medium frame vs the small frame, I was sold immediately. This DK40SE is a beast. Got a heck of a deal on it. I've cleared mesquites, began digging out a tank/pond, shredded, & have improved our gravel drives with it. Among other things.... I've had an O ring bust in the hydraulics & had to replace it & the fluid. My starter has recently been giving me trouble, so I bought a new one this week, actually, & am going to replace in the morning. Those are the only 2 issues I've had. I don't use it all the time, but when I do, I put it through work. It hasn't disappointed me yet. I'll say it again, it is an absolute beast! From doing research & test driving all the brands I've mentioned when I was searching, I don't think you can go wrong with Kubota, LS, or Kioti. I was just not going to pay the higher price for a Kubota, not sure they are 'worth' the extra money. Good Luck!

Are you adverse to Mahindra? You can get a lot more tractor for a lot less money. They're also the #3 selling brand in the U.S.

I misspoke earlier when I said that Kubota had a 7 yr warranty. It is also a 6 yr. Sorry to confuse.

I went to Kioti and Kubota recently - both are about 60 kms from me, and about 3 min apart. I was very happy with either dealership and sales repr. The John Deere dealership is significantly further down the road, and Mahindra, McCormick, New Holland, and other brands are not anywhere convenient for me. There is a Ventrac dealer nearby (in town) but that option doesn't really suit most of my needs.

Kioti offered a good deal on the CS2210, and Kubota's deal on the BX23S was about $3k Cdn more.

They were comparable units and both had the tractor - loader - backhoe packages, but Kubota's package included the quick attach system (major plus for my needs). So in trying to compare oranges to oranges ... I thought the Kubota was a better deal.

Am I missing something?

For 3K more I would think you should get more than a quick attach!

I am getting more than the quick attach for the difference in price, I just thought $3K was a close comparison. The way I read some (general forum) responses I expected that Kubota (branding) would cost $7,000 - $8,000 more for essentially the same machine that Kioti or JD etc. I'm not seeing it, when comparing feature for feature.

As I mentioned in a post last week, I also have 2 family members that sell Kioti, independent of each other. Bit of pressure there, so due diligence meant that I took a close look.

I suppose its possible on a larger tractor to see that kind of price differences. Don't think I remember reading $7- 8000 differences though. (haven't priced tractors lately, so I don't know)
Your not going to see price differences anywhere near that on a subcompact tractor.
The $3000 difference is a lot more than I expected on a subcompact.
