Hello,
My home is in NW Oklahoma, about an hour and fifteen minutes away from Oklahoma City. I have a Ford 8000 with a Koyker 510 frt loader with 7' bucket. Also have an older combine, and other farm equipment. I own 480 acres of farm and grazing land, but do not live on the land. Live only a couple of miles away(small town close to the farm). There are too many rattlesnakes on the old home place and other two quarters, although my grandparents lived on the farm, and never gave them a thought. But my grandfather did have an old quart jar, full of rattlesnake rattles that he had accumulated. I am considering building a pole barn home/house. I already have a 40x50 pole barn shop with cement floor, and paint booth inside. I am thinking about building a simular structure, close to the shop, but not with metal siding, but the metal roof, and using a combination of square poles and wood framing. I did notice one member in Edmond, Oklahoma is in the process of finishing his pole barn.
