ok.. so I cut the hinges off, and the door STILL would not open. Kept fiddling with it, kept getting bigger and bigger torque multipliers (hammers) Got all the way to a 10 lb. hammer and still nothing.
Got the flame ratchet back out, cut on it some more.. Finallt, the door opened slightly and dropped down, then came open and almost crushed me.. The door weighed about 125-150 lbs.
Went down to the local scrap yard and bought a piece of 3x3x10 heavy walled tubing for $10!!!.
Used my box blade as a guide and welded the tubing on in the exact same places... For some reason I got eat up with the D.A. and welded on my 3rd point without ever taking an measurements????... (Still not sure why I did that.. Maybe it was the Shiner!!)
Had to make a slight adjustment using the old angle iron feet that had been previously cut off the safe... Fixed my 3rd point, Hooked it to the tactor and loaded it down with some old hardened up bags of concrete and iron ore rocks from where my shop was built..
Its not painted, and the rocks with be coming out eventually in place of concrete and the PVC pipe idea that had been previously reccomended..
So, is it blasphemy to paint the box Cat Yellow???? That color is free! J/K!!!.. It will probably end up black..
