You guys have not seen me here before, but I have been reading MANY of the posts for the last few months. I want to thank all of you for the great posts.

Well, I am a new member of the exclusive Orange club! I bought a new B2400. It should arrive in 2 days. Of course it will be arriving in a snow storm. That just gives me something for it and me to work on.

Ok, I know, you guys want to know what I will do with it. Well, I am ashamed to say that this is WAY to big for my property. I see many of you have multiple acres. I have just half an acre. I will not mow with it, I have a GE Elec-Trak for that (needs batteries). I plan on doing some landscaping, and hey, I need a toy.

My insurance agent never wrote a policy for a tractor! This is all so new to me. I hope I can count on this chat for answers if I need them.

Oh, so here is a question: I found a Lienbach post hole digger for sale. Does anyone know the manufacturer?

Proud to be orange.

Sorry, I forgot. The B2400 has loader and box scraper.

Congrats Dr. You aren't going to find anybody around here pointing fingers of shame for getting too big a rig. Most advice is go ahead and get something bigger than you think you need, because the jobs seem to expand to fit the available horsepower. A lot of folks buy "just right" for what they think they need, and wind up with buyer's remorse.

Have fun, and do it safely.

Dave,

Great to read that Santa will be at your home in a couple of days with your new B2400 /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

There was along running post on tractor insurance not to long ago,and maybe that will give you some ideas.

Mass to the Golden Poppy state it really doesn't matter how much land you have or the tractor,as long as your comfortable and enjoying life.

Yep looks like a couple of storms headed our way, /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif and lets hope not either one comes in like last Sunday nasty mess. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Stay safe and warm down there.

DR,

Great Holiday gift! You have a lot of good times a coming. Your only problem is what to get the significant other now that you got your gift.

Congratulations DR! I can relate to a compact on a subdivision lot, though I do drive mine out to our acreage occasionally. Your neighbors will both love and envy you. My insurance agent was also taken aback, but ended up adding the tractor to our homeowners policy. Good luck and have fun in that snow!

Dave, congratulations on your purchase. I'm sure you will find plenty to use it for on a 1/2 acre lot.

As for Leinbach implements, I know them well. They are located in Winston Salem, NC (336) 924-4115. Great folks to work with. They will answer your questions, and fax/mail you information on their products and services. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with their implements.

Welcome to the "club". Being a newbie myself, I can identify with overbuying. I have found this board very helpful.
I raised my "personal effects" portion of my homeowers to cover the orange tractor and it only cost $9. per year.
Enjoy your new baby...I've learned a lot already..

Congratulations on the purchase of a fine tractor. I have a B1700, so if things come up you have questions about, e-mail me anytime, I may have run into the same problems. Stay safe!
