If it helps you any, I wanted the heaviest tractor with the highest lifting capacity in the 30-35hp range and the Branson tops it in both categories. Lifts 2,100 lbs.

The new BL200 loader has even more capacity. Web site is down again but IIRC it's 2600 lbs. There's times I could use that.

I wanted a good recent model used tractor but in my area they sell for about the same price as a new one. If you can find one- they're rare. The vast majority of used tractors here are very well used and still priced high. While I'm sure it's worse here than most of the lower 48 I think that other areas are not that much better, especially in the west. Messicks (big PA dealer) had a video about that a while back. They see it too. Turns out that there's a lot of people moving back to the land and they all want tractors. You can see from "rural lifestyle" magazines like Mother Earth News- they're chock full of tractor ads now when 30 years ago they didn't have any.

Branson was purchased by TYM of Korea two or three years ago.

Branson's parent company Kukje (also South Korean) was bought by TYM about three years ago. The TYM and Branson organizations and models lines are largely separate. There's one 19hp SCUT model shared between TYM and Branson. A couple TYM models can now be had with Kujke engines in place of the usual Yanmars. Kukje makes Cummins A series engines under a long term deal with Cummins. Branson recently announced new plans to extend their dealer network. Branson has been updating their line with new models, new loaders, backhoes and additional features for existing models. While nothing is certain in modern corporate governance it appears that TYM intends to maintain the Branson brand as a separate line.
