Yeah, i have the Jake Rakes. I specifically designed them on what my competition could not do. What size are you looking for. I currently have 4-6' units but am working on adding 8-12' models to the line up as well as a professional series unit. My grandpa runs his Jake Rake over his arenas daily and I have got lots of comments from various horse trainers that they loved the footing. I also am offering them in all colors to match the need of the consumer. Plus, my rakes will be considerably less $$$ than the TR3 and Riata rake.

I use two 4 foot drag harrows chained together. The tines are heavy and about 4 inches long and will therefore mess up your base unless you cut them back to about 2 inches. I didn't bother, I just straped a 6 foot piece of ABS piping under the tines ( I used those plastic quick ties) both in the front and the back to raise it up so I only penatrates about two inches. This was supposed to be a temp solution until I cut the tines. That was five years ago, I never got around to cutting the tines as I works very well as is. I have to replace the quick ties every once in awhile when they break.

I had the harrows given to me, old ones seem to pop up everwhere, I used an old 6 foot iron pipe in front to chain them together and a chain from both ends centered by a big hook that attaches to the hitch on the tractor.

The ABS was scrap from a hardware store that had some cracked stuff lying around.

The chain and the plastic straps was the only cost.

Best of all, It does as good or a better job than a pro arena groom!
