This is my first post I hope it is appropriate for the site; I have 43 acres and would love to get a Tractor when I can afford one.
Pole Barn canopy or cover
I was searching for some ideas to extend my building out to keep the snow from falling in front of my doors. This site came up so I thought I would sign up it looks like it has a lot of good information. My building is new it is a 40'x80' with a 14' foot eave. I had it built in the summer and didn't give a thought to the snow falling in front of the building. Last year the snow fell and melted, the water ran back in the building and froze I had ice all over the new concrete. I had the front pitched more this year and added a 16 apron.
I'm thinking of a 20' sheet from the eave that would get the snow away from the building and I could use it as a cover for other things. I hate to have poles blocking the front but that's the only way I can think of getting the snow away. Thanks for any help.
