How about a little about your Jeep? Why a Mustang engine and not a SB chevy? Just asking since SBs have more adaptor options. Ive got a 95 that Im considering for a V8 conversion but as little as I drive it now, I dont think its worth it.

EDIT: oh yea, welcome aboard.

You answered your own question /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Its not in my nature to follow the pack. I also hate chevy but thats a different story. Right now the jeep has a reocurring manifold gasket issue and has now developed what I believe is a bad computer. The fight with the dealership is just to much of hastle to deal with anymore. I won't ever by another *** vehicle unless its a porsrche and that ain't gonna happen.
I have OBA, Jet module, overbored TB, K&N, Banks exhaust, RE 5.5 lift, 4.88 gears, locked front and rear, 8.8 rear, Rube D44 front, Poison Spyder front half cage, Rocker Knockers and full corner guards with leds, 9500ti and custom bumpers and tire/fuel carrier just added a 10# CO2 tank. There is probably more but who knows anymore, I have not looked at it in about 2 months and have not driven it in at least 6 months. Oh it was an X model 6cyl, hard top. Personally I dont think I will ever get it on the road or trail the way I feel about it now.
Now I am looking at putting the motor in my 2000 ranger but I think that might a looser deal too. Not a lot of $$$$$ anymore and less enthusiasium. I have to put a motor in my 90 yj too, which might be a 302 with no smog and full width axles to beat on. Of course I have to pay for a tractor now too. Who knows...........

Welcome to TBN. Interesting name, as I am almost finished parting out my drag Mustang on ebay, and have already used the money to buy a BX23. Years ago I had a 1976 CJ7, but it was mostly just stock. Still was fin thouhg, as a stock CJ is a pretty capable vehicle on it's own. Sold the CJ in 2003. I'll buy another car hobby again, but it will probably be a Viper or a Porsche or something expensive. I don't want another hobby car where the majority of the owners are teenagers.

I currently have an 80 CJ5 with 37k on it. I chose to stick with the staight 6 as horsepower tends to break more things here in Pennsylvannia. Its tight woods, large rocks, and hills. Decided I need low end torque. This is my 3rd CJ5 and don't off road like I used too.
Clifford Products has a very good choice of jeep 6 cylinder parts. I swapped the Carter in for a weber 2 barrel, new manifold, and header. Its like night and day. Also went to a gel battery. No winter use as PADOT uses salt like no tomorrow. Its a sweet summer ride Used a Racncho 2.5 lift and Confer shackels for another .50" of lift. Stuck with 31" tires as the center of gravity is always a challenge. Still get some bump steer do to the front shackel design, so your always driving. Particularly on Pennsylvannia roads, I hit a pothole last week, if it wasn't for the VW beeltle in the bottom of it, It would have swallowed me too.....LOL.....
Good luck with your new build up.

You are the envie of my Grandfather. He has always wanted a Willy's with the flathead 4. He wound up with a military 1953, that has the original OHV motor and all the government plaques and stuff on it. He restored it after G.W. University used it as a salt truck for Campus and rotted it out terrible.

He loves his Jeep but I know he still wishes it was on of the original flatheads
