Sounds like you need to get on the rocks for some inspiration /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Fixin a Jeep up like that, well, ya oughta be headin out to that canyon that runs up into Panamint, or out to Anza Borrego! Up here, it's just a few minutes to Rubicon ect.

BTW, what's the deal with wide axles? I see them around here on Jeeps and Toy's. I was practically born in a '42 MB, and then growing up and on until a couple years ago a '70 CJ5. I kinda liked the narrow axles and the squeeking between rocks and stuff, that I know I couldn't do with wide axles.

Yea TDS is next weekend at Truck Haven 44th year I think (Tierra Del Sol club in North County San Diego and Truck Haven is out next to the Salton Sea) I actually jumped in my YJ to get my tractor unstuck and having not driven it in (YJ 190k 4 banger) in a month kinda felt good.

The wide axle deal is kinda two fold. More stabiliy and the fact that its cheaper than having an axle cut down. I would like to add a few inchs if I ever get the 9s built, that is not even on the radar screen anymore. Once I get some stuff paid off I hopefully will keep the motivation. I really wanted to get it down for TDS this year but maybe next year.

1980.... BEWARE OF PINERIDGE He will give you nothing but aggravation, bad advice, steal your donuts, and try to con you out of your tools, tractors, etc. Overall, you might just say that he is TBN's black sheep. In fact, it is rumored that he is very familiar with sheep ... Welcome aboard, and remember who was the first to caution you about Pineridge..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
