Tractor
2001 4300
Hi Guys, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

first I want to excuse my bad english; i'm from Germany and live in Bavaria, it's a agricultural region in Germany. So i grew up on a little farm and i was always interested in tractors. So i have read nearly all the posts in the green forum before i decided to buy a green one; so i got a 2001 4300 with only 715 hours, nice german cabin with heating, radio and light dark glasses. My attachments are a 300 cx loader with a selfmade HD bucket, a 72" MMM, a container for the rear end for transporting, front and mid pto, 2 sweepster brooms and a snow plow.
I want to say thank you to all the good and competent posters here on TBN because i had the problem with the thermistor and a non starting 4300 tractor. I found the solution in the TBN forums. You're informations are often very helpful. Interesting for me is the fact that american people are using other attachments than the people here in germany cause of other needs. So if i am able to upload some pictures, i will show you the other side from the John Deere World. I'm very sad, that john deere prices here in Germany are a lot more expensive than in the USA and the next thing, we can't buy a 990. This model is not for the european market. So i decided importing one from the USA but there are many /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gifdifficulties with the government. At time, it's only a dream, perhaps it will go reality.

Thanks so far

i mean the windows in the cabin have an anti sun protection with some dark coating on the surface. I hope you're understanding what I mean.

Welcome to Tractorbynet, and there's certainly nothing wrong with your English. I know you're going to enjoy that tractor.

Sehr gut!!

That really looks nice - do you have SNOW?

My kids want me to set up the swimming pool!

we call that coating 'window tint', it sure hels to keep the cab cool in the summer, and cut the reflection of the sun on the snow!

Is the steering wheel on the left, or did they give you one of the Brit machines?!!!

This winter we had a lot of snow, so i could use my baby very often. It's amazing how much power this machine can produce. I have no chains and never missed them because of the 4 wheel drive, i think that's quite good.
My steering wheel sit's right in the middle, there's no difference to your's, ha ha;
the problem is, i bought this machine used and the guy who used, didn't maintain the tractor well. He did much snow plowing and salt spreading and never washed the tractor after salting the streets. So my baby has some rust on the frame and underneath and on the axle housings. The colour of the new john deere lines is not from best quality. I have a 955 too, from 1993 and he has no rust at all. So I think there's a difference in quality from the old models up to the newer models but there's a really increased comfort within the newer models.
I'm sorry for uploading the small pic's, I have to get a good resizing programm, so I can do the job fine.

In Germany it is now middle in the night and i go to bed, so we can talk tomorrow about tractors and all the good stuff.

Welcome! Hadn't given thought to what might be used elsewhere, the similarities abound.
I've visited your neck of the woods in the past (Treburg,K-town, Sembach(exc-sp /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) and enjoyed it immensely! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Welcome to the International Green Team!!! Nice looking CAB on your tractor. Is it a Curtis Hard cab or was it John Deere Factory?

You english is better than mine so do not worry about that.

Also a question on the brooms - did it come with two and will you need two or are their differences in them?

Also show us pictures of your self made heavy duty bucket when you can. Would like to see that modification.

Hope you have a good evening. We are about to start the grill and cook some steaks.

See ya on TBN!
