Posted symptoms seemed pretty specific to me. Like I said:

"Fact of the matter is, the seal is the same for both 3 And 4 cylinder 4000's and can be changed in place without pulling the shaft or disturbing the bearing/seal housing."

That's how it can be done in 30 minutes regardless of vintage.

This is an 8 speed independent PTO 3 cylinder diesel.
I see oil dripping onto my tow bar that sits right under the PTO. Everything appears to me that the seal is weeping the hydraulic fluid out. I would like to do this job myself and need to find a schematic and part number to order so I can have everything in place.

No problem. I searched hard for that darn manual. Free is always better.

I was thinking about your problem. My grandfather has a TW-15 and it would leak even after a new seal. He ended up buying a new PTO shaft as the dealer recommended it was worn and causing the leak. I helped him put it in last year and surprisingly it has stopped leaking.
