I dont know if it helped, but mine was new but a leftover that had been siting on the lot for over a year --its not a 2016. I dont know if this helped either, but I worked on the company I bought it from's electric not too long ago also as a contractor and struck up a good relationship with those guys. I was prepared to spend 18k lol.

Does your price you paid include sales tax?

Congratulations on choosing a Massey GC1710.

Now a couple things to recognize:
1. I'm not sure if a "2016" unit is even at any dealers as yet. The normal process is from the later 2014s that had the dl95 loader and cb65 backhoe onward . . I don't know there us anything different in them on any level. A 2014 2015 etc are all the same if they have thosr specific attachments I listed. So price isn't year influenced.

2. You got the 0% financing and the cheapest price I've seen or heard of. Everyone will be scratch ing their heads how you did it. Its got to be really close to dealer cost . . Because the 0% means you didn't have a rebate in it.

3. Either you're alot more negotiation skilled than you are letting on . . . Or you have a 4 leaf clover in one pocket and a rabbits foot in the other. A stunning deal for a great product. :)

Congrats.

Another very good price . . however thats a cash price not a 0% price.

Will you be getting filled tires or 3pt attachments or a mmm to add to the unit ?

Sounds you're going to have a whole arsenal of useful tools (ahhhh toys and fun stuff) to utilize (play with). If I could suggest just a couple things to consider:

1. I don't know of anothet scut builder that offers a wider selection of mmm choices than does Massey. 60 inch regular, 60 inch drive ovet, 54 inch regular, and 54 inch mulcher with 6 blades. I chise the mulcher after digging out from research about its ecistence. It is a wonderful attachment for my needs because I want as narrow as I can find . . Unlike competitors who just add a baffle kit . . This is avwhole different item and foes not discharge on either side.

2. It sounds like your working on getting several attachments. I'd work on the dealer about pricing with the 0% financing or one of the other agco choicesvthat exist. Why? Because adding attachments usyally offers some rebate or finance benefit when you have two or more add ons. Also . . It spreads the cost out further and you can also add in the agco insuranxe for a ridiculously cheap price. Maybe you don't want to finance . . . my point is . . Negotiatebnot on the tractor and then attachments . . but all of it at one time . . Agco usually folliws Kubotas method of an extra incentive when attachments are bought together with tractor.

Just some thoughts. But remember . . if you want to get a quick attach for your bucket . . Massey doesn't have one but MyTractorTools.com does. I like mine.

You know.... I should consider the mulching deck some more. I wonder if its safer in terms of projectiles (rocks & debris)

I think you are right about the financing as well and the additional attachments... At this point, i have heard all great things about my dealer i just hate that his initial pricing was so high. I will have a good sum of cash within the next couple weeks and hope to strike up a good deal and maintain a good relationship with them.

Not to hijack the thread but what about a thumb for the bckhoe..

I had an earlier model (GC2310) and at the time thumb was not a factory item. I would recommend the thumb. Better for grasping objects (stone, logs, or stump for example) and not mashing same against your dipper.

From a standpoint of safety the mulcher has no discharge chute or outlet . . So rocks or sticks or clippings don't come out. There is considerable metal baffling built into the deck . . . Plus some hidden rollers and the normal rollers and wheels. But its 6 blades cut and recut the grass. Obviously as 1 or 4 choices it gives alot of options. For lawn cutting. We have rock gardens on steeper slopes and it is so much nicer now to be able to cut next to them going uphill instead of downhill. I couldn't before because it would blow grass into the rock gardens. Total width of deck is 55 inches. No chutes. . . blades cut edge to edge on the 54 inches wide.

But I'm just suggesting you negotiate on tractor with attachments because usually there is a different rebate etc. That applies with some financing options. I don't know what it is this month but I had a choice of 5 or 6 agco financing plans for various lengths and various interest rates (none higher than 3.99% some 1.99%). And of course the 0% is above and beyond the other options I had to choose from.

I really wish I'd gotten the mulching deck instead of the 60" drive on. I miss the mulching effect and hate the discharge.
