Hey Billy. You are having the same problem I did. It seems like it would be easier to spot Big Foot than to find a set of 96-612 Gator blades. I think the 96-787 blades I bought at AgriSupply were the real thing (at least they had Oregon stickers on them).
By the way, I believe the 396-612 is the "G6" version of the 96-612. Its a heavier duty version. I opted for the regular ones as I'd rather have the blade bend instead of breaking something on the deck if I hit a rock - and I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy the more expensive ones.![]()
MoreCowbell,
Thanks for the additional information. After wasting hours trying to find out the right sizes and where to buy the blades, I ordered three 396-612 blades from Mowpart.com (Four Bros Outdoor Power) for $13.55 each plus shipping of $14.45 for all three.
I kind of think the 396-612 is just a new number for the 96-612 because I never found a vendor that listed both numbers. When I was searching Ebay and Amazon, I used 96-612 and that might have been the reason I could not find the bades on those sites. Both blade numbers are referred to as blades for the "Z" series Kubotas.
I was glad to hear from you and the others that the blades actually fit the 60" MMM. AgriSupply is listed on the Oregon website as a Gator Blade dealer but I don't know why they don't call their blades Gator blades.
Again, thanks for all your help.
Billy
