Re: New New Holland Arrives! \"Questions!\"

Do you have more than an hour on the clock?

If the dealer puts 6-8 hours on a machine in the yard, it's OK to sell it as new. If YOU put 6-8 hours on the clock and try to trade it in, hey, it's a USED tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: New New Holland Arrives! \"Questions!\"

Thank you for all your comments. As I said in my original post, I have no intention of sending the tractor back and I did notify the dealer within an hour of my picking up the tractor. This dealer is quite fantastic, I do not wish force them into anything, however, the idea that these things just happen in shipping is a concern to me. Tell me up front that there is a good chance the implements may show up damaged, would I have been willing to pay more? Don't know. I also have no problem with the scratches/rub marks on the buckets or on the lower sides of the bb, but things like your leg shield and loader arms that I would have to work real hard to ever harm, do bother me. Ultimatly I am prepared to use and enjoy my New Holland regaurdless of the outcome, I am just fishing to see what you all thought might be fair to both the dealer and I. P.S. The damage is without a doubt shipping related, sans a few little scratches. Thanks all have a great memorial Day.
Tim

If you could post some pictures for us, it would give us a chance to be a lot more objective about the damage. Right now, we are all just guessing what we think you mean. What the heck! We all want to see your new tractor anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: New New Holland Arrives! \"Questions!\"

If you could see how they ship these loaders to use you would know why they get scratched. The trucking companies could care less about getting the equipment to you without scratches. I have seen them bring loaders that have all fallen off the packing crates because the trucking companies have been so rough with them. There response for the paint damage is always send us a bill, and tell your company to package them better.

Re: New New Holland Arrives! \"Questions!\"

A couple weeks ago we got a new 790 in at the dealership and something on the truck fell on it and completely smashed the hood in. Most truckers I unload for seem to be pretty good about not beating the crap out of our new stuff. When we get new stuff off the truck we check it on the truck for damage and to make sure it is what we ordered.
