New NH T2410 and T2420 on CNH web site

850, See my post #23 of this thread. I'm just looking at dry weight. My concern is that if I purchase a TC2420 it will really be bigger and do more work than what I have now. Will there be a BH 1100 forthcomming from Woods with 3.5 in cylinders? If the frame is truely larger then this tractor would handle it.
Acording to the Nebraska test I see the NH has started doing what the rest of the Mfg are when it comes to engine ratings. The HP is measured at 2700 rpm vs 2500rpm on the 2120.

To sum it up the TC55 has a smaller engine vs the 2120 but a higher compression ratio plus a turbo to get the 55 HP.

Is that based on Antifreeze loading or CaCl?
That would be 100gal per tire for Glycol.

Based on CaCL in 18.4x24 R4s (using 5lb of CaCL per gal.)

The weigth in the tires is accurate. We are talking R4 tires at 18.4x24 at 74 gallons per tire. Straight water would be 1234 pounds and the CACL2 would be 800 per tire at 1600 lbs. I have checked several charts as i did not believe it myself. here is the link and click to next page on bottom to see 18.4X24. tractor weight is accurate also. Nebrask test results are accurate. They are right on with new holland when you add fluids and i had with rider and loader weight is 1200#s so a TC55DA with loader and rider and loaded tires would be 8000#S. That is some weight!!!!!! I hope you dont think nebraska test results scales are off. they are very accurate! These weights are real close to actual give or take maybe 200#s somewhere but still pretty heavy.

That's a very handy chart Mike.

The weight numbers look right - although I don't recall now why we are debating it :) .... oh ya, is the newly badged machine any bigger than the 55? I can't see why NH would bother making many changes. I'll cast my lot with the "marketing guys decided to shake things up" theory.

That's what I'm saying I just don't believe their scale. Remember, there test used a tractor with unloaded tires. That's all I care about is the dry weight of the 55DA vs 2420.

I've always used this Titan catalog since they make the actual tire for NH.
Funny thing they dont list the 18.4x24 see page 29. but they list a 18.4x26 at 79 gal so 74 sounds good for a 24" rim.

My TC55 list 4238 with ag tire's and i have r4 so iguess they weigh 150 extra then 1600 for the fluid. And then the loader 1200 or so some where around 7000 to 7200.

This is a University study and they are not lying and have no reason to lie. they test all makes of tractors. Here is cut and paste from there results for TC55DA.

Unladen tractor mass 4685 lb (2125 kg)

All test results were determined
from observed data obtained in accordance
with official OECD, SAE and Nebraska test
procedures.

We, the undersigned, certify that this is a true
and correct report of official Tractor Test No.

I think we all agree the new models are just TC55's with a few mods. The weight will be the same. It is a Lightweight utility tractor that fills a niche ... (Not needing the 50+ hp most of the time, but heavy and powerful enough for the times when needed. Light enough and small enough to be more manueverable than the TNs, etc) If I were needing the weight and full power of a cat-II 3ph most of the time, I would spend a few extra thousand and look at the true utility sized tractors. I like this size as it feels like the best of both, and allows me to stay with cat-I implements which are less expensive.

I think Fullpull hit the nail. The shipping weight 4238# in the NH brochure is dry weight with Ag tires.
Ag R1
Rear 14.9x28 = 147
Frnt 9.5x16 = 49

Ind R4
Rear 18.4x24 = 210
Frnt 12x16.5 = 68
Differecnce in R1 vs R4 is ~ 180lbs more for R4.

If you add about 130lb for fluids.
4238 + 180 + 130 = 4548# which is within 100# of the Nebraska test number.
The #100 is probably from rim weight diff in R1 vs R4.

No, JD's numbering system makes sense...NH numbering systme make confusion!
