LOL, troops from Iraq, Afragnistan, etc. are not needed to be removed for the New Orleans disaster. The only thing that is needed is for the profit hungary press corps to go home to their respective metro areas and let the locals take care of their own problems before another hurricane hits the USA.

In fact, NOAA is predicting five named storms, four hurricanes and two major hurricanes for September, traditionally the most active month for hurricanes.

NOAA is also predicting three named storms, two hurricanes and one major hurricane in October.

Bettter get ready now! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yep, September is suaually the biggest month. Thank heaven drier air has moved in from the north over eastern Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf coast. At least the humidity isn't as oppresive.

Sounds a bit cold there....The current locals cannot handle it. the louisana national guard are locals and need to take care of their homeland first. If more hurricanes are predicted, all the more reason to return the guardsmen to their homelands.
And yes get the evil press out for showing truth to the world.

Nope, the American Armed Forces doing their duty around the world have no business in New Orleans, the Federal Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 prevents the use of the military in civilian disorders.

There will be allot more disasters that will occur, it is a domestic issue and not one to be controlled by the military.

Be sure to tell the press all about the rest of hurricane season, as it is not even 1/2 completed yet.....they should all begine preparing for the profittering off the next disaster now /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hey, this is the State National guard, they have always worked state emergencies. Their primary purpose is to help their home state, not fight a war in a foreign country.
I suppose the guard were lawbreakers when they have helped out on most of the other hurricane aftermaths. Oh well.

I suppose it is embarrasing for the evil press to show our failure to properly help people in this disaster and show the scope of the disaster. But truth is truth.

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Exactly how are they profiting? Some of them have been broadcasting programs with fewer than usual commercials; some have been commercial-free. Even those that show commercials are not doing anything any different than they would if there was no hurricane. It costs a lot more to have news teams in the area than it does to broadcast from an anchor desk, and they generally suck up the difference as a public service. We would not be as aware of the actual state of matters without the media. Did you watch Nightline's interview of FEMA director Brown last night? Brown: "We're going to do everything possible to make things right for those people." Nightline: "With all due respect, Mr, Brown, many of those people are dead."

Thread closed. Start up another one if people can keep the politics out of it.
