Check your service manual.. Diesels operate at much higher comp than gassers.. I'd expect 400psi+.. though i don't have ANY info on your specific engine..

The one item to look for when running compression test is equal pressure between all cylinders. That is, it is better to have all cylinders a little low than one high one and a low one. You may have a head gasket problem.
Comp. test is next logical test. sorry, I do not know pressures of your engine. Dealer will be able to tell you "acceptable" numbers.

I took the injector's over to the local Ford dealer said they were working ok ,asked him about the comp. he said look for around 350 lbs. Now all I have to do is get a comp. gauge there's one on ebay that has a bunch of adapter's for checking through the injector and some for through the glow plug. One of the application's it say's it fit's is Kubota anyone know if this would work on the 1600? They had two 1600's over there one was $3995.00 and one $4995.00 both looked worse than mine in appearence course i realize that's secondary. I'am going to order a IT manual through the Motorbook Store in florida so I hope it help's . Mark
