Congratulations for joining the B7800 brotherhood-The B7800 kicks *** with the 30HP 4 cylinder engine, 14.7" of ground clearance, wide stance and nominal weight-I love mine:)

Dealer said he does not recommend tire chains for the front because of the close proximity of the tie rod. Any comments? He's correct but if you reverse the tires and wheels you get the clearance required. I did this and put 2 link v-bar's on the front (tirechain.com). Now my B7800 walks right up the big snow banks at my house-see attachments. Much safer and easier to control here with all the snow we get.

Favorite rear tire chains? (I have the ag tires) I have R4's with 4 link v-bars (also from tirechain.com) but wish I would have bought 2 link chains for the rear tires.

Anybody replace the poor quality headlights? What did you use? Yes, I replaced the bulbs with 50 watt halogens from an autoparts store-only $10 each and made a great difference-takes minutes to do. I also put a TSC 50 watt rear tractor light on the back-$12

Major issues I should keep an eye out for? Gelling of fuel in the winter - make sure you don't get water in the fuel (I use a Mr.Funnel) and use Power Service or another brand additive.

I also have the rear tires filled with Rim Guard and use a block heater and magnetic heater on the hydro fluid reservoir when it's cold.

The information on this site is great...thanks.

For all you B7800 owners see this link for a parts manual Index of Kubotabooks/Tractor Parts Manuals/

Also one for your 402 FEL

So, did any of you B7800 owners also look at the B3030? If so, why did you choose the B7800 over the B3030? Did it come down to the $1800 difference?

If the money was no object, would you have gotten the deluxe B instead? And do any of you guys find that you sometimes wish you had gotten the more expensive tractor?

The price difference seems to be well worth it for the additional features. Higher FEL and 3pt capacities, independent PTO, and Position Control, plus the other 'little' additional features.

I just want to be sure I'm happy with my machine for years to come. It really isn't that much fun tractor shopping every few years - it gets old pretty quick with all the different stats, specs, pros & cons you have to take into consideration. I think I could be fairly happy with the B7800, but I know that I'd occasionally be thinking about some of the deluxe features that I don't have.

I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's not that much more expensive over the long haul, but I can't help but look at the $1800 difference when looking at the bottom line and wondering if I can do without some of the $1800 worth of additional features. Man, will I be glad when this is over and I have to "suffer" with whatever machine I've chosen. :D

I bought my B7800 used, and after about 5 hours seat time I am very pleased. It has lots of power, runs smooth, and is quite capable at the rock moving/ground clearing/ground leveling I have done so far.

I do wish that it had a rear hydraulic outlet, as I would like to add a hydraulic top link, but it is more of a want then a need.

$1800 is a tiller or 2 nice woods blades.

The B7800 is a working machine! Best wishes with yours. If you get much ice where you are be careful until you get your chains.:)

I looked at the 2630/3030 but elected to buy the B7800 instead because with the money I saved I bought a bucket grapple/valve kit, rear blade, carry-all, tire chains and part of my used snowblower.

Sometimes I wish I had bought a larger tractor (like a GrandL3130) but sometimes, when I am moving snow around my house or working through the forest, I wish I had bought a smaller tractor such as a B7510 or a Kioti GK20.

I use my tractor for harvesting firewood, snow removal and some landscaping and since the B7800 handles all that well having a similar but more feature rich tractor doesn't have any appeal for me.

I would really like a ASV track loader with a bunch of attachments:)

Nope, had nothing to do with the money. Like you said, very little difference over the life of the tractor.

The price difference seems to be well worth it for the additional features. Higher FEL and 3pt capacities, independent PTO, and Position Control, plus the other 'little' additional features. If I'm not mistaken, the difference of the capacity of the FEL is about 2 pounds. I like the quarter valve because I can be very precise with my gravel driveway. I would have liked the telescoping 3ph but I will probably upgrade next spring (the 2910 has a telescoping 3ph that fits the 7800). I'm not sure what you mean by the independent PTO. I like the fact that the 7800's PTO is controlled by a clutch. Much easier on attachments.

My only dilemma was the 7800 vs. the GL3240. Man, I really liked that tractor but it was too big for what I needed.

I'm extremely happy with my 7800 decision.
