I have just acquired a F20D with a FEL and box blade. It's in pretty good shape, but needs work on one of the electrical circuits. It has a joystick and two knobs on the right fender. The stick controls tilt for a blade on the 3pt hitch. Is anyone familiar with this option? Also does anyone know of electrical diagrams for this machine?
Thanks, This forum was a good source of info during my purchase decision.

The joystick was designed specifically to control the tiller that came as original equipment with the tractor. I'm not sure how it is supposed to work, but I think it was supposed to be self leveling. One of the knobs should override the auto-leveling and allow you to adjust the tilt to wherever you want it.

The parts manual may contain a wiring diagram. Ask the dealer where you bought the tractor.

We are very familiar with the electric solenoid 3tp hydraulics. Give me a call I have the info you need. 509-374-3398 or 509-521-1507

Buck,
Thanks for the info we just discussed and for your offer to send the diagram. I'll give you a call if I run into trouble.

I have an FX24D with the tilt control (Joystick & 2 swithches) & it has just broken. The joystick retainer ring wore out & the tilt stopped working. I loved the tilt capability. It is great for grading and plowing snow. Don't know why more tractors haven't put a hydraulic cylinder where most have the manual adjust. It's so much easier to hook up implements.

I am in the process of building a FEL (CADPlans 1007) & since I am messing with the hydraulics, decided to just replace the electrical system with straight hydraulic. Needed a double acting cylinder and some new lines. I teed into the input side of the solenoid hydraulics for the FEL feed.

I'll let you know how it works out.

Sorry, replace-"needed double acting cylinder" with "needed a control valve for a double acting cylinder"

I had a Hinomoto with the same type control. When it gave trouble I replaced the fancy stuff with a dual pole dual throw switch. It wasn't as smooth as the joy stick but it worked.

I need your email address to send you the schematic. I should have asked you for it when I talked to you, sorry about that. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
