mikehaugen, we are practically neighbors. I live in Sterling and just googled Lee and see we aren't far apart! I also just heard about McGrew's place in New Paris this morning, so I'll be getting in touch with them soon.
I did some preliminary testing and the gears in the front axle seem to work. I put the tractor in nuetral and when spinning the shaft by hand for the front axle the tractor moved forward. Likewise, when I disengage the MFWD with lever by the seat, the output shaft spins freely, and when I engage the lever the shaft only spins with movement of the rear wheels. I'm crossing my fingers that I only need the shaft and no internal parts are trashed.
