Howdy guys, I'm a first time Massey-Ferguson owner. I've always had 600-800 series Fords for the past 20 yrs. or so but thought I'd try this 240 cause I really wanted to up-date to somthing with LPTO and power sreering. It seems like a nice rugged unit. The Perkins seems to run good, has a little blow-by at 2950 hrs. but not much. It'll get an easy life from now on, I don't farm, just have some land here in northern Wisc. where I mow about 10 acres plus some roads. Use a Farmi log skidding winch to make our winter's firewood. Winter duties include a couple of driveways to keep clear with a 6' 3-pt. snow blower, and whatever else I can dream up to do in order to get some seat time in. Were these 240's sort of an orphan model? All of the parts catalogues I look at don't list much of anything for them. theres a lot of stuff available for the 135's 235's then they jump to the 245. Hopefully a lot of stuff will be the same. What your input guys? I'll have a ton more questions I'm sure but just wanted to say hello for now. Ican tell this will be a valuable site for me
