kubota g1800
i just bought a Kubota g1800 1100 hours $1200.

it runs and drives/cuts great though some cosmetic stuff like seat and paint need attention

the hydro fluid is clean looking, so clean you can barely see it but don't know when it was last changed

should I change it and the filter for a good starting point then change by hours from there or because it LOOKS clean wait till season end for changing?

thanks....Steve

Steve, if the fluid doesn't look milky from moisture or dirty, I see no reason to worry about it. Once every 500-600 hours is plenty if the fluid looks good. Engine oils get contaminants from burned fuel, but transmission fluids don't have that to worry about, especially ones that are filtered like the G1800. $1200 for an 1100 hour G1800 is a steal. Did the guy report you to the cops?:D
