To get faster feedback on your Ford, start a new thread here:

New Holland Owning/Operating

Year, Model - Need Advice : then list your problems as you did in the last post.

You'll need to go through/change all the fluids, but the first thing to do is check the level of the Hydraulic fluid that runs your 3 point hitch that your bushog is attached to. Sorry, I don't know exactly where the Hydraulic Fill/Check point is on your model.

That Ford/NH forum is the best place to get advice, including where to buy carb kits, gaskets....

Rgds, and best wishes for speedy repair, D.

Take it back or better yet - tell them to come and get it.

How many levers are there by the 3 point lift lever? IF there are two, make sure BOTH are "up" else it wont raise... If you can post a picture of that we can probbaly help more.

If everything worked at the dealer's lot and now nothing works, it is probably operator error. However, I would take it back just because of the head gasket.

I'm confused about what tractor model you have. Your profile says a Ford 2000, but the title of the thread says N9 (which I assume should be 9N). According to tractordata.com, the 2000 went out of production in 1975.

I agree with Beltman60 that you could probably do better for the money.

i would like to ask another question,we have it running at least now. But,there is what looks to be gray muddy water coming from the blowby pipe.Could this be a blown head gasket?

Take that thing back!

I hate to say it, but you overpaid... at least for around here. You could get one in better shape for significantly less money.

Sorry...

Welcome here. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Buying a new tractor should be a good experience and it sounds like yours is everything but that. I would have to agree with the advice of taking it back. The sooner the better and I would check to see if the bank has cleared the check yet and tell them to hold it until you settle on the matter.
Good luck.

post a picture.

if it is a 3 cyl gasser 2000 1975, it might not be overpriced for 3800$ with a mower. IF it is working.

a coolant leak.. where at exactly?

if there is water in the oil.. I'd take it back..
