You will want to roll the front half forward, so leave room in front of the tractor. The front half is much lighter. A JD 750 is not very heavy as far as tractors go. Still you want to treat it with respect.

Alright I got it split in half, it took about 3 hours. Looks like the release bearing seized up and cut through the clutch fingers. Flywheel looks good, friction disk looks good too, but I'll replace all the clutch components. Hopefully have it back in action in a couple of weeks.

Consider having the flywheel resurfaced as well.

Okay, so now comes the fun stuff, ordering parts :)

There is a JD dealer not too far from me, I'll give them a call to place an order for all the components.

I took a quick look at the online catalog, clutch plate, clutch disk, release bearing, easy enough, but inside the "sleeve" or forks that the release bearing is mounted on, I see some seals (#8 on the diagram), I don't believe they were ever a part of my 750, and to install them I'd have to press out the bushings, which will most likely ruin them. Could someone tell me what these seals are for?

Also any good places that would ship JD parts to Canada in case my dealer wants too much?

Thought I would update with some good news. I got the tractor all fixed up, new clutch, release bearing, all new fluids and it takes quite a bit, got all the dashboard lights working, and I already went looking for implements, first on the list is a scraper blade, for some reason, I cannot find a used one in my area, will be keeping an eye out for one. Today I did some log hauling with a set of log clamps I got for $40, boy that was fun and easy compared to wrestling them by hand, I think I'm going to like delegating work to this handy machine, it's easy on fuel and has plenty of power to spare for my needs, very happy with the purchase.

Cheers

xp190,

Glad to hear the update. When it comes to used implements, you need to have cash in hand and act quickly. Tomorrow it will be gone.
