Today I got a call from the dealer and he explained that the 1635 cab will not mate properly with a backhoe. So I would have to go up a model to the 1640. He said it would only cost me roughly 600$ more. As he and mahindra would eat the rest (I can only go by what I was told). So I went for it and upgraded my bb to 6' from the 5'.

Not sure if anyone else ran into this as I dont believe my dealer intentionally misled me originally. I just dont believe they have been selling mahindra very long or maybe they dont sell many. Not sure . I already gave a deposit on the original purchase so I added a few dollars to the new purchase.

The lights are different on the other model I just realized. I liked the look of the headlights on the 1635 as they are halo type lights. Slightly longer hood as the engine is now 4 cylinder not 3.

The 1600 series are very solid and popular tractors. You absolutely won't be disappointed, it's Mitsubishi built (though Mahindra owns controlling interest in the Mitsubishi tractor division) and it's one of the most popular series of tractor they sell.
