Measures 35 W x 61 1/4 L. The angle cost me $14.56 @ .91 a foot. Total out of pocket cost so far is $66.82. My bunged up finger doing this today is priceless..ha

I'm kinda concerned I may have made it too long. I may have to mount it to the tractor again and make sure I can see the bucket at it's full height overhead. If it's too long I'll cut it down.

Buddy had some spare small square stock so I beefed it up a bit. Didn't add a lot of weight, but, it's much more solid. Ran a piece all the way down the center and then added the two sides. I think the length will be fine. The ones they sell are 50" & longer and my length is shorter since I used some for the back end.

I'll make sure everything fits today, rattle can it, and cut the diamond plate and I sould be good to go.

Painted. It's also mounted to the tractor, but, I don't have picture of that yet. Looks nice and just the right size. Had to order SCO Insulation for the roof. Can't seem to find it locally. 19.99 for a 3/8" 4'x6' sheet and they ding you 7.99 shipping. Shipping is such a rip off anymore, but, gas prices...

Called a sheet metal shop yesterday to get the diamond plate bent on the sides. They wanted a hours labor for two bends. $65.00. You have to be kidding me.

If nothing else I will cut it myself for free and not have the fancy 1" bend over the sides. I'm at 94.80 with the firewall insulation and I still need some bolts and some spray on adhesive. I'll probably just cut myself. The lip is just something else for me to cut my head on...ha.

Almost finished. Cut the diamond plate myself with a skill saw. I'm not paying a sheet metal shop 65 dollars for 15 minutes work to bend the sides. Cut off the excess bolts and ground them down. I just need to wait until the SCO insulation shows up and buy a few bolts for the top.

94.80 out of pocket and I need 8 small bolts and a can of adhesive. I'm sure I can come in under 5 dollars for them.

Probably won't be posting pics of the bolts.....so that's all folks....!

I once used to think the same but I then worked out that the courier fee was only about 1/2 my hourly rate (it was a while back:D ). Then add on the cost of running the vehicle to go and get it....much cheaper to pay for the courier unless required urgently or going that way anyway.

All these DIY canopies may get me off my a... and build one myself.
