Here she is,i absolutely love it!! Them latchs on them drawers are great, cant open unless you open. This is good,my old box was bad when things got tippy, the drawers would open and stability went from bad to worse! It took me til i was 40 to afford a nice ball bearing box for myself.I bust my hump at that lumber mill ,but them bonus checks sure are nice /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
If you notice in the picture[sorry shrunk it a little too much]i put my old boxs on my xman work bench, and im gonna use the old rollaway for a mobile tool collect all.Getting quite a collection of drawers huh?The old ones will make for some great odds and ends storage.
This is actually a 3 car garage with lots of storage in the back for the KUBOTA,and a small wood shop. This bay is partitioned off and insulated with a nice house furnace so its always comfortable to tinker in.It may be small 36by 12 ,but its well organized now!!!!!
POST SOME MORE BOXS,I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS THREAD!!
ALAN

Alan,

Those are some very nice tool boxes. Something that your kids will be proud to hand down to your grandkids.

I noticed you had some tubes hanging on the wall. Are they welding rod tubes? How did you attach them, and do they easily come on and off?

EDDIE,
Lets just hope there are things ti tinker on for my grand kids, they say they will run out of oil in their lifetime.
Those are welding rod tubes to keep my rods dry. They just sit up there on two nails so i can take them right to my welding job.Theyare 15 inchs long with a solid cap glued on one end and a threaded cleanout on the other.2inch pvc i guess is what they are.Ihave one for all the different size rods i use.I brought one in to take a closer pic for you.

Thought I'd put it back up top, Surely some of you got tool boxes for Xmas. Let's see em.

/ NEW POST... SHOW OFF YOUR TOOL BOXS #49
I think everyone who got new boxes are off organizing them, or just sitting looking at them...

Wife got me this roll around for Xmas. It has a small storage cabinet under the shelf. The shelf height is adjustable. Perfect for working in the garage with a vehicle on the lift. Just the place to lay my tools instead of on the floor.

I just noticed that the little ham got into the picture as well.

I found that some of the original shipping cartons offer the best tool organization!

I am a serious toolaholic and of course many years of collecting. There can not be enough said about the right tool for the job. It just always seems to require purchasing some more!

RON,
That is one awsome box,one of my favorites so far.You must have every socket on earth!!
I got another great gift for xmas.A cd player to hook up to that oldie but goodie realistic reciever i already got out there. Now i can crank the toons while tinkering on my favorite toy.
I must not fit in with the guys at work. They look at nasty **** on their computers, and i spend hours on TBN,and drool over this tool box thread!!!!!!!
I do love that new box of mine.I have to have a drawing on the wall beside it to tell me whats in what drawer.I just cant bare to stick labels on it
QUESTION:WHAT DO YOU GUYS USE TO KEEP THE DUST AND FINGER PRINTS FROM SHOWING,PLEDGE?

Alan,

Wash your hands before touching the box!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Just kidding! I use #34 Mequiars final inspection. I use it for our show cars. It sprays on and wipes off. Does a really good job. Costs about $8.

When I originally purchased the box I thought I would never fill it up. Wrong! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know, the thread title says "Show off YOUR tool boxes", but I still like to know just what's out there.
(how do you know yours are the best? unless you know about them all?) Or, at least as many as practical.
Well, here's another brand that looks pretty cool.
While they don't look like Snap-on quality, but they also have a full line of mechanics tools. USAG Tools
This one, you may have heard of - if you look closely at the SpikeTV shows on the weekly PowerBlock shows, you'll see the guys using these: Stahlwille Tools
And don't forget the brand that SK Tools is getting together with: Facom Tools.
I used to try to stay 100% Snap-on branded, and then a friend had me try some of his MAC tools on a project where a Snap-on wobble extension wouldn't quite get the angle and so I tried the MAC with a MAC socket and I was amazed it was able to get the angle to loosen the stubborn fastener. Upon closer inspection of the two tools the MAC was machined to have about 2 more degrees than the Snap-on. That and the closer comparision of the two sockets revealed that the MAC socket was a touch shorter. I was convinced after that, I've no longer been a one brand guy, but the guy who cherry picks this & that. Thus, I try and buy all sorts of stuff.
Anyone ever hear of Cornwell Tools? Another fine brand, also sold Snap-on style. Always fun to have a few tool catalogs to shop with while on the throne. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Just a little TBN bro'hood FYI. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
