My only complaint with all these drills is the hand chuck, I can never get them tight enough on the drill bit, and they spin. I've started buying only drill bits with the three faces.......

I had the same problem with my old Makita, and the little craftsman we use for light projects around the house. I bought a Porter Cable 14.4v cordless two years ago & don't have this problem. It easily tightens very tight, and metal driling is never a problem. It never slips. It sort of ratchets, with audible & tactile "clicks"... also works to keep the chuck from backing out unless you intentionally do so. No more rubbing on a workpiece & having the chuck loosen accidentally.
It's a nice drill, with a great trigger, tons of torque & decent batteries. It is heavy though, which only gets to me if I happen to be doing jobs like drywall or something. But I like it better than my BIL's dewalt drills (he's a contractor, and for some reason he & his hammerin' buddies only use that brand).
