well i guess after reading everthing i could i a'm sending a check to pt for a new-used 422 that has good coils! they didn't put this one on the web site it has 50 hrs. on it. mower deck,bucket,and a blade.for now i'll be in hog heaven.i'll get my welder busy when i get up here,modify the bucket ond the blade and i'll be ready for the next toy i can't live with out /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And congrats on the "new" machine...I'm quite hopeful about this Robbin, since I've had the "opportunity" to look under the skin...though there is no history on this motor like the K., It is much easier to work on than the Vanguard twin in my C.C...If one keeps the oil and air clean it should provide good service.

Congratulations on your new tractor. I'm eagerly awaiting the time when I can make the same purchase. Possibly this coming fall or winter…..my wife seems to like our current tractor too much.

If it makes you feel any better Onan uses these Robin manufactured engines in their generators/welders now and also offers the engine for sale but with Onan stickers on it. Onan claims to have co-developed the engine with Robin on their website. So, in a pinch many small engine shops should be able to get you parts either though an Onan source Robin directly.

you know i never was a new kohler engine fan, the old singles,yes.those who think these new ones will have the same longevity,should believe in the tooth fairy.if it doesn't have the power i need ,it will.i know they get 45 hp. out of the old 16 kohlers....now they are heaver..smaller...steel crank...more torque..got me thinking /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
