Kioti CK20(Gear)
Thanks to all the information I was able to learn from this site, I decided on the CK20 (Gear). I brought the tractor with loader home yesterday, and will drop it off at the dealer next week to have the backhoe install. I will also be picking up the drag box. I decided on the gear due to financial reasons and the fact that I learned some of my tractor skills on an old Case 530 Construction King. I do have an operational question for you compact tractors pros. I run a bit on the large size and with my big feet, have trouble with the foot throttle. Will it cause problems setting the hand throttle to around 2000rpm and just work the clutch and gear shift during loader work? Thanks for any enlightenment you can give me.

Can't answer your question, but welcome to the pack.
Rest assured, someone on here will be able to answer your questions

I rarely use the foot throttle for anything. I'll set the cruise throttle between 1,800 and 2200 depending on the power I need and use the gears for the speed required.

Good luck with your tractor.

I agree. I use the lever for everything. Foot throttle's recommended use is for road travel. Enjoy the new machine & be safe.

Thanks all for the replies and welcome. I will start the breakend this weekend. I have a few tons of grave to spread in the front yard! This should help appease the wife for spending our daughter's wedding fund on a tractor! :p I have attached a picture of the rig on arrival.

We live way to close to Vegas for that to due me much good. I got the tractor good and dusty today. Move most of the gravel into the front yard. Now I just need to practice my bucket floating technique, to spread t out evenly. I have a question about the seat on my CK20. It has the normal adjustment arm to move the seat forward or backward, but what is the big handle on the front of the seat for? It rotates straight out, I guess so you can twist it, but what does it adjust? There is also a smaller knob just below it. Nothing in the manual about either one. Any ideas?

The handle you are talking about is the spring tension crank. You can crank up the spring tension so the seat doesn't go down much when you sit on it or you can lower the spring tension so the seat is nice and cushiony.

I have never used to knob. Next time I use the tractor, I will check it out.

Don't want to be a smart a@@ but make sure you read all your manuals!
Start checking for loose studs, nuts and bolts ..............EVERYWHERE!
Grease often, your in dry, arid environment requiring more than normal greasing. I'm sure you know all this but this is just a reminder .....:)

Congratz and enjoy your tractor..............

Yep, read that thing cover to cover. The dealer also said to go over it from time to time, checking for lose nuts/bolts. The first inspection prior to my first day on the job, I found that there was 3/4 of a quart to much oil in the crank case. Good thing I checked! Better then short I guess!
