I put the original fan on and tried it vs the elect fan. The mechanical fan probably blows 5 times more air, even at idle it blows 2-3 times more air. So remounted it and built a new fan shroud. Not the prettiest but sure moves some air so it's functional. Good thing is now ever have a radiator issue it will be simple to fix.

That's what I would have done. I don't like to hear the whine of those electric fans even if it would have worked.

First test on it yesterday worked very well. Barely got into the green on the temp with air temp in the 90s, so staying nice and cool with no leaks. True test would be to hook the brush hog behind it for a few hrs see what it does.

When I try something like that. One problem leads to another and to yet another.

No reason it shouldn't work now.
