Rear Blade New Road Boss grader!

I like the weight- I bought a 7' land pride over a 7' bush hog brand because it weighed 200 lbs more. It does a great job.

....and having the SSQA mounted on it will add more weight.

Very cool. I’m in the market for one. I need a 7 footer for my 70 horse tractor. I am deciding between this Road Boss and another company. With a little more options the other company is close to 1600 pounds... I need the weight.

Nice looking land plane. I also am too "frugal" to spend money on something I can build. That one has the same blades as I put on mine. They were quite reasonable at $125 each. I put a hydraulic controlled blade on the rear to carry, distribute, or let material flow without having to lift the whole implement. Driveway maintenence time is coming soon, snow is gone, driveway is drying nicely.

Just got to use it for the first time today. Did an excellent job on the gravel road in front of my house where it was mostly dry. It cut the wash boards out and filled and leveled the ruts beautifully. If the dirt / gravel was moist or wet it balled things up and made a bit of a mess I had to feather out a couple spots the best I could. Took me a few passes to get the hang of things. One definitely needs to raise or remove the front serrated edge if getting into any top soil or edge of road with grass ect. it pulls this material up and plugs the unit real quick. The directions said this would happen and they were right. I will let things dry a bit more and then remove the front serrated edge to pull the good gravel along the edge of the road that naturally ends up on the edge in the grass and to cut the sod down before summer to get a bit more crown built up. All in all I like it a lot. This 7 foot utility model seems to be a perfect match for my 49 hp tractor as well. Just the right size for the road and and driveway.

That is a really nice setup.. I like the way it stands proud on both sides of the tractor. An 8 footer is on my wish list.

Thanks WCdad! An 8' Roadboss gets you into the commercial line and they get a lot bigger and heavier yet. 7' is the largest of the utility models is what I have.
