Yep.. if you're not gonna move it, a sloped roof is best

unless you pull it at 15mph!!!

But i would think you could buy a roll of rubber for cheaper than $4k and work something out! Heck at that price you could buy another camper!

What are the roofs actually made of?? Could u not use that roof goop as I call it. The like tar stuff?? Or get commercial glue and glue a piece of commercial roof rubber onto the back of it??

FYI Semi Trailers have aluminum roofs on a lot of them.
A Good semi trailer repair facility will have the roofing in a 4000# coil by 104" wide.
Then it is just pulled off and cut to length for repairs or complete roof replacement.
The shops sell it by the linear foot.
The problem with most RV's is the roof structure will fail when it gets wet from a leak.

Not really.. the old rubber gets pulled, roof repaired, then new rubber.. remember, you have of of trim that wont fit with a double thick roof.

The new roof looks good.
My camper is in a permanent location also.
My roofs' not leaking yet but I've had some water leak in at the door/frame and the floor is getting soft there.
I thought about adding a sloped roof to provide a overhang all the way around the camper. Perhaps a small covered porch while I'm at it.
If you decide to use the AC you will need more ventilation.

I bought one of those quiet 3500 watt inverter generators to run my AC and it works great. It also sips fuel compared to my other generator.

One suggestion, the masonry cinder blocks holding up your trailer aren't designed to hold weight laying on their side like that.

Nice job! Sounds like a few are trying to rain on your parade. I want to do a similar roof over our trailer but free standing, not attached. But the county says I can't, so I have to wait until I get my CO on the house, then I won't tell them.
