This is a question for Kioti dealers out there. Is that new ROPS readily available? Is it an option that will cost more? This may sound silly, but that does sway my decision a little. Did not like that old style and these little things mean a lot to some and not much to others. When you're buying a tractor to keep for years and years and years, you don't want to have any regrets. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I do not think it is silly at all.

I would not have bought my tractor if it did not have a foldable rops. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The new ROPS are availabe on the CK30HST I know for sure. I think the CK25HST's may still be working off old stock at Kioti so they have the older style. We don't have a choice when ordering, we just get what they send.

What difference is there on the new rops. I saw a 30 with the foldable rops with the black hand screw...is that the new one? I saw a 25 but didn't pay attention to the rops.

Mine has the old style, I don't like it that much, but it's not a real big deal so far. I'd rather have it fold in the middle. I did see a pic of a CK30 here the other day that folded in the middle.

This thread has a photo of a CK30 with the new ROPS. I guess the new ROPS is the same height and shape of the old one, it's just the new one folds flat instead of a 45 degree angle like the old one.

I got the old style with mine. It does fold flat-I just lay it down all the way. No pin though. It didn't fit in the barn pinned at 45*. Larry

Here is a pic of my new CK30HST with the new ROPS for those that have not seen one yet. This is as far as it folds, but it seems to be much better than the old style.

You guys get me.
I went out front and my-goodness some had the new some had the old.
I never noticed. Now they all lay down but the old at the base new in da middle.
I know one thing they all are HEAVY.

It wasn't my intent to try to "one-up" anybody because I have the new style. I simply wanted to provide a picture for people who were wondering what they looked like. I would like to add something about them all being HEAVY. Since the pivot point is roughly 2 feet higher up than the old style, it would be my guess that the weight would be substantially less than with the old style. I never folded the old type, but this one didn't seem too heavy to me.
