Ha thanks. Well I can make a few observations in the 9.2 hours I've put on it the first 6 days.

It's definitely built as a "work horse" rather than a "joy rider". I knew that getting into it though. It's anemic but steady in moderate slopes. It feels generally well built and sturdy. The controls are ergonomic. My wife who is not accustomed to operating machinery has taken to it too so that's a good sign. During the most recent weekend doing some various chores around the property I can already tell it will be a purchase I should have made much sooner.

I added a lexan windshield from eBay last night. I have a set of mirrors and a overhead light en route. I'd like some sort of additional exterior work lights and a winch but I don't have any experience with either. But those both seem handy. Advice on those would be appreciated. There's mounting holes for a winch in the front bumper but I don't know if that's universal or specific to a certain brand or model. A receiver hitch bracket makes sense for the winch too.

It's fairly easy to mount a winch in the front bumper, and the holes matched up to the Warn 3000 I bought. Hardest part was running the wiring to the battery. Sorry I don't have a better pic than this:

It was on sale at Northern tool last winter and I had a $50 coupon, so it was a good deal. I set mine up with the plug for the winch's wired remote hidden under the hood. I did not wire up the permanent switch, since there wasn't a clean way to mount it in the dash and I figured I could just use the wired remote from inside the RTV just as easily.

Get one with roller guides if you can. Cost a little bit more but the cable will last a whole lot longer and it's safer too.

I've got 75 hours on mine in almost two years. Call it the farm taxi. Great machines, no complaints but one, it takes a half acre to turn the thing around...

Get one with roller guides if you can. Cost a little bit more but the cable will last a whole lot longer and it's safer too.

You can buy the fair lead separately, if you find a good deal on a winch you like, which doesn't have one. They run around $30-60, for an UTV sized winch fairlead.

What model year is your's, Steppenwolfe? I'd heard Kubota improved the turning radius on the more recent model years, but I'm not sure where I heard it, nor whether it is accurate.
