Yeah the turning radius is pretty wide especially for a slow utv. Not cumbersome though.

Here's the winch I got: Warn Industries - ATV & Side X Side Winches: Vantage 3000-s

It was on sale at Northern tool last winter and I had a $50 coupon, so it was a good deal. I set mine up with the plug for the winch's wired remote hidden under the hood. I did not wire up the permanent switch, since there wasn't a clean way to mount it in the dash and I figured I could just use the wired remote from inside the RTV just as easily.

So I ordered a superwinch terra 35. Should be here Wednesday. What's the purpose of a mounting plate if there's holes for a winch already? Added strength?

I don't think you need a mounting plate at all. In fact, there really isn't a lot of room on the RTV bumper so it may not even fit. It's probably only needed for installs where there isn't a suitable mounting area already.

I just hit 300 hours on my 1140 cpx. They have made improvements in the new model with regards to the air filter and radiator positions. Mine works out fine but it is extra maintenance to keep those clean. It's been a good vehicle but I wish it had just a little more horsepower. It definitely slows a lot when climbing a hill.

You don’t need a mount plate. I put a Super Winch Terra 4500 on my X1120D last year. Worked great

Posting mostly for heads up for anyone wanting a RTV1140CPX. I visited Barlows Kubota Dealer here in Somerset, Ky yesterday (Marvin was loading up a BX23 with grass catcher to deliver to Chicago when I got there) and purchased or traded for a new RTV900XT. I traded in my RTV1140CPX Camo with 200 hours that I've owned since it was new. Barlows should have it on their lot later this week for sale or trade. It has a top and hyd dump bed.

Came home and told my wife I'd traded the RTV1140 two seater to a RTV900 one seater and she exploded

:shocked::thumbdown::confused3::confused3::confused3: soooo I called Steve Barlow and told him to swap that 900 to a 1140 with chrome wheels and expect delivery next week when they get it putogether.
