Brain fart! I typed this message in a rush and made a big oooops. I realized the mistake a couple hours ago and would like to clear it up.

There weren't "a million 135's". There was roughly 1 million 100 series tractors produced worldwide from 1964 through the late 1970's when worldwide production ceased. Roughly 10% of U.S. production was model 150's, estimated to be around 14,000 units total. I hope no one bet the ranch based on my bad information. Sorry for the confusion.

Assuming that the s/n's run consecutively, there were 24,443 MF-135s built in the first 3 years of production (1964 thru mid-1967) and 206,681 units manufactured between mid-67 and end of production in 1975.

My 1964 MF-135 diesel is unit #2512.

More trivia from the North Valley.

Thanks for the response, in NZ, the line up was the 135 - 165 - 175 - 178 which laterly became the 135 - 148 - 165 - 168 - 185 - 188. The 148 was basically the same as a 135, but fitted with aux hyd and ind PTO. The 165 was upgraded from the 203 to the 212 engine and given wet brakes. The 168 was once again the same as the 165, but with aux hyd and ind PTO and the same with the 188 over the 185. The "8" models also had a spacer hsg bewteen the centre casing and the gearbox to extend the wheel base. This also made them nicer to drive as there was more room around the operator area. For us the most of these were built in the UK and there were the odd ones that came out of France and these usually were fitted with a Sileni (I think) front wheel assist unit. Other wise for 4wd you had to go with the UK built "4 Wheel Traction Unit" which was a kit that could be added, used to perform ok, but turning circle was a problem. You needed a good 10 acres to go full circle (LOL). Forgot to metion that the 135 went from bent F/A to a straight F/A. There was also an upgrade to a larger fuel tank for the 135 later on as well, you can tell that by the height of the grille.
So from your pictures and the info, yours is fitted with a 152 engine?
Still, a very nice looking unit.
