New seat with seat belt

I have been unsuccesful at finding a suitable new seat with seat belts for my good old Massey Ferguson MF40. It currently just has a pan type seat, which reverses when using the backhoe. It has a good strong roof which would help in a roll over. However with out a seat belt I could end up under it.

I did some searching on the internet but so far have not sound a suitable seat with seat belt.

Any experience or ideas are appreciated.

Forklift seats usually come with seat belts, but your not likely to want to pay what they will want for one. Maybe you can go by the local forklift places and they might have a used seat that you can pick up pretty cheap and have it recovered.

I believe newer seats us seat belts connected to the ROPS or it's structure, do they not?
I assume you have no ROPS yes?

a sun shade does not = ROPS (roll over protection system)
double check to make sure, what you have on the tractor, could possibly handle a roll over. if not, a seat belt will just hold you to tractor as you get squished

you might find something at a dirt bike / 4 wheeler / dome buggy place. but the 180 degree turn function for back hoe....

the set for the new holland TLB 555 models has a seat built on the seat.

i would assume if you looked up various models of TLB for MF online you could find some part numbers that you could take to some tractor dealer and see what prices come up for. not sure how other manufactor seats would fit.

*rubs chin* what about a regular auto motive store, that deals with racing cars. and like. errr maybe not.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check some of those out.

The structure is more than a sunshade; I will take a few pictures and post them. Maybe this wil generate some other ideas too.
