I should have reiterated in my earlier post when discussing the 825 I Gator about the fuel consumption, as Dan did in his later post. I have written about the high fuel consumption of the 3 cylinder Chery engine in this application in other posts, but suffice it to say it is thirsty. Combine that with a 5.3 gallon tank and one has limited range. This may be another one of those areas where Polaris has the "better ergonomics" but I like that the Ranger has a 9 gallon fuel tank (at least mine did). My Ranger 800, so long as I stayed out of the throttle a little, would burn only a tiny bit more fuel per hour than my prior JD 850d DIESEL and less than my father's carbureted 500 Ranger. For me, the increased low and mid range power of the 825 offsets this liability when comparing those two, but for those folks who take their machines deep into the woods for prolonged hunting excursions or may be working on large properties without easy fuel supply aside from that which one carries, this is certainly something to think about.
